There may be a requirement to successfully complete workplace training to successfully obtain a qualification. You may be employed already and working but do you meet the requirements? Check with your trainer/teacher and your institute. If you do meet the requirements, do you need to gain more/different experience by getting employed at different workplace?
If you are a Commercial Cookery student and doing your work placement where you are currently working do you do breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special function?
Training package clearly state that the one of the Unit – Work effectively as a cook (SITHCCC020) needs to be completed either at the simulated workplace or the real workplace and satisfy the assessment requirements of preparing, cooking, and presenting menu items for a minimum of 48 complete food service periods that cover: breakfast, dinner, lunch, and special function.
If that is not the case, then to avoid any unforeseen problem, why not gain the real work experience and tick all the boxes.

You are simply needing to fill out an expression of interest form or call us. Send you current resume. We will find the suitable employer for you.
Do I get paid when doing my work placement? :
It is not mandatory for an employer to pay you. However, if the employer is happy and satisfied with your performance they may even pay you.
